House Rules for Holiday Isle 620 - Captain Jax
Occupancy: Max 12 guests allowed.
Age Requirement: Primary guest must be 25+ and stay the entire trip.
Rental Agreement: Must be signed within 48 hours of booking the reservation.
Security Verification: Must complete security verification to secure the reservation.
No Smoking: No smoking or vaping inside the home or near doors and windows.
Towels Linens: Keep bath towels indoors. Please place used towels in the bathrooms before checkout.
Trash: Bag and dispose of all trash properly in outdoor bins before departure.
Departure: Turn off all lights, TVs, appliances, and securely lock doors and windows when leaving.

New Favorite Spot

First time in Destin and now our new favorite spot. Captain Jax was just the right size for our party of 8. It was so peaceful sitting on the deck in the evenings. Being on the channel only a couple blocks away from the ocean was actually really nice. We highly recommend this home.

Rented property for a 9 person family vacation. Cleaning crew was still at residence so I didn't go in until after 6pm. Master suite carpet had a few stains on it to which I notified management. The refrigerator appeared to be missing a "catch tray" for the ice/water dispenser so water dripped on floor/ I alleviated this by placing a folded dish rag there to absorb the water. Family loved the place. Pool was perfect on those chilly days. Beds were comfy. Only real complaint was by the coffee drinkers (I don't do coffee) who said the coffee maker took about an hour to make a pot of coffee. Tried to get a cross breeze but only a few windows opened and had screens in them so didn't bother. I'd definitely rent this property again. Great location, great management company. Only thing we didn't use was the rolling cooler since it was too cool to go to beach most days.

The house was very clean and just as described. The pool was a real plus and the Beach proximity was very good. Now for a couple of quirks. The gas grill was locked up. Leaving a small charcoal grill as the only choice for outdoor cooking. Then there was the matter of only one card to access the private beach. This in spite of the gate having a number pad which could be used to access the beach. These were the only two irritations in an otherwise pleasant stay. I would like to add that Breathe Easy rentals is wonderfully responsive. I will definitely use them again in Destin.

Nice home. Great location. Kids loved the pool, fishing off the dock, and the private beach. Rental bikes were great for them to ride to the beach. Lots of stairs. Owner had several of the closets locked up as well as the garage and elevator. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and pans. Outside needed a power washing. WiFi was spotty at best, but they were to fix it.

We had a wonderful stay at Captain Jax! The location is great, short walk to the beach! There are bicycles available that may be utilized during your stay. The house is as described, we did not realize no tv’s in downstairs bedrooms but that was our mistake for not picking up on that in the pictures. There is plenty of dining area and the space is open so everyone can socialize during meal times. There is ample room for dining on the deck also. Overall wonderful stay and great time !
